Project Background

A turbofan engine combustion chamber mounting boss experienced thread wear and loosening under 550°C continuous temperature and vibration. Inconel X-750 inserts were selected for thread reinforcement.

Technical Requirements

  • Operating temp: 550°C continuous, 600°C peak
  • Vibration: Random 10g RMS, 20-2000Hz
  • Fatigue life: ≥10^6 thermal cycles
  • Thread spec: M10×1.5-2D

Quality Verification Results

High-temp tensile: 1180MPa (req ≥1000MPa), Vibration fatigue: 1.5×10^6 cycles, Thermal cycling: 1200 cycles. All tests passed AS9100D requirements.
